I find it bizarre and horrifying that the US Supreme Ct has almost unanimously upheld first amendment protection for the “protests” of the Westboro Baptist Church at the funerals of American soldiers which in the most offensive and cruel and disruptive way dances on their graves because of the alleged “sins” of homosexuality tolerated by the military … but when 11 American Muslim students non violently protest the injustices and cruelties of the Israeli government against the Palestinian people, this somehow becomes a criminal offense???? What is wrong with this picture? EVERYTHING. It is truly evidence that in America today, to paraphrase George Orwell, all are free to speak, but some are freer than others.
